Caitlyn - AI chatbot
Yellowtail - Pensioen & Vermogen
Anticipating the arrival of new pension choices, such as the 'bedrag ineens' (a forthcoming option in the Netherlands enabling retirees to receive up to 10% of their accumulated old-age pension as a single sum), Yellowtail Conclusion took a proactive stance to ensure clarity for users. Understanding that while the 'bedrag ineens' provides greater financial flexibility, it could also result in reduced monthly pension payments and potentially affect taxes and allowances, the Pensioen & Vermogen team and I joined forces to create Caitlyn. Its primary function is to thoroughly inform users about these potential ramifications and even offer visual representations of their impact, thereby significantly enhancing the PensionSuite's capacity to deliver comprehensive and easily digestible insights into their pension landscape.

FinVision
Yellowtail - Pensioen & Vermogen
FinVision is a project dedicated to designing and developing a robust and secure document analysis tool for the financial sector, powered by Optical Character Recognition (OCR). This core technology enables the intelligent "recognition of characters" in image-based documents, facilitating efficient text extraction and insightful data analysis. The primary goal is to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort for financial professionals. The key deliverable is an interactive prototype, visually aligned with the Yellowtail design style for effective presentations, showcasing FinVision's practical application and its potential to optimize document handling.
WTP planningstool
a.s.r
This project addressed a critical and time-sensitive need for a.s.r., a prominent player in the Dutch financial services sector. Faced with the impending implementation of the new Pension Future Act (Wet Toekomst Pensioenen - WTP), a.s.r. recognized the necessity for a dedicated digital solution to effectively manage the intricate process of transitioning employer pension contracts. The core objective of this initiative was the swift development – within an ambitious four-week timeframe – of a bespoke tool designed to provide a.s.r.'s personnel with comprehensive clarity regarding the various stages and complexities involved in these contract transitions. Furthermore, the tool was strategically envisioned to facilitate a more equitable and phased distribution of the anticipated workload associated with the WTP implementation, ensuring that teams could manage the transition efficiently and without undue strain.

E-Consumer app
Stater N.V.
Stater N.V. required a partner to develop and maintain a new mortgage consumer application, offering users clear insights into their mortgage, practical calculation tools, and straightforward modification options. As the lead UX/UI designer, I was responsible for crafting a user-friendly, accessible (adhering to WCAG guidelines), and visually engaging design. This design emphasized intuitive navigation and clear information architecture, with a strong focus on meeting accessibility standards. The effectiveness and adaptability of this foundational design resulted in its successful implementation as a consistent design variant for six additional mortgage providers, highlighting its scalability and commitment to a unified, user-centric experience across multiple financial institutions.
Key Control Dashboard
Yellowtail Conclusion
In 2024, I took the next step in my career by joining Yellowtail Conclusion, where I was immediately assigned to work on the Key Control Dashboard (KCD). This platform plays a critical role in helping public sector organizations maintain control and transparency in their processes. However, the existing design had become outdated—both visually and functionally—and was no longer aligned with modern usability standards or responsive requirements.

My role in this project was to lead the design refresh, with a focus on future-proofing the platform. This meant not only improving the visual identity but also creating a more intuitive and accessible user experience. I started by redesigning the core flows, including the login experience, the dashboard interface, and a customizable data entry process. Special attention was given to responsive behavior to ensure usability across all device types—from desktops to mobile phones.

WorkState 3.0
Workrate
After I completed college, my career started at Workrate in 2018. Workrate is a security company that specializes in security compliance. They are active in over nine European countries and are ambitious to be a security leader in the data centre sector. In addition, they also operate in harbours and logistics sectors.

The security guards from Workrate operate with the WorkState software. A SaaS web app tool in which all actions and events are recorded and tracked in a transparent and accessible manner.
In 2021, this tool needed an upgrade. Not only visually but also functionally.
Money transfer screen
ABN AMRO
When a friend of mine started his own company in 2021, he had a business partner in China. At one point, he needed an advance to invest in certain products—a sum of 30,000 Chinese Yuan Renminbis.
My friend is with ABN AMRO and thought he could quickly transfer this amount to his partner, but he found that transferring money to a non-SEPA country was much more complicated. When he told me about his experience, I immediately got inspired to see where the bottlenecks were in the current design and how I could optimize it for the users.

Culy Club
Wayne Parker Kent
The last phase of my bachelor's consists of a thesis. I have to do that with Wayne Parker Kent. At the time, an online publisher that managed to get millions of people to their websites every day and since 2019 a part of Mediahuis.

I did my thesis at Culy(.nl), where everything revolved around food and was co-founded by Monique van Loon. In addition to their website, there was an idea for an additional platform at the time—the Culy Club.
